If you are forever looking for pretty cafes around the world you have probably no doubt seen this gem! Especially their unicorn smoothie bowls. Located amongst some very cool independent cafes and boutique shops on 9 Streets, Pluk serves up not only healthy but delicious food.
I and Jess have seen this cafe on Instagram and have been obsessing over it ever since. So it was on our Amsterdam bucket list. We did not realize there were Pluk cafes in the 9 Streets but they look identical so I do not think it matters which one you go too. I expected this little cafe to be extremely busy and we would have to wait for a table but when we got there we were seated straight away.
I absolutely loved the big windows and balcony that you sat on and could watch over the cafe downstairs (or in our case eye up which cake or goodies we could buy after breakfast). And I mean there are some goodies here which you can buy!
Pluk serves up anything from unicorn smoothie bowls that are topped with sweet granola and chia seeds, to pancakes topped with fresh fruit, to sandwiches stuffed with hummus and vegetables. But do not worry if none of that takes your fancy, or you have a sweet tooth like me and need a sweet after (even at breakfast – you are on holiday remember) then they do a range of cakes downstairs and we took away a slice of their matcha loaf cafe for later that day.
But onto the main event – our breakfast. I went for the unicorn bowl which is a mix of banana, strawberry, and coconut topped with granola, coconut flakes, banana, a cone, chia seeds and a flower. Alongside a latte.
Then Jess had Pluk’s glitter galaxy bowl which is a mix of banana, cranberry powder, blueberry and raspberry with a topping of granola, raspberry, blueberry, coconut flakes, cocoa nibs and golden glitters. Jess also had a matcha latte with almond milk.
This cafe is excellent if you are vegan and they cater for lots!
I would recommend Pluk if you are passing through 9 Streets and need to fill your belly. You will find yummy food, tasty cakes, friendly staff, a cute white cat and I am sure something from the shop downstairs like me and Jess! Ops!
Until next time,
Inds
