Once again we woke up in our beautiful hotel in Paris and were both happy and sad that we were still in this wonderful city, but in the evening we were returning home after such a lovely few days. We were packed, up, and ready to have the early afternoon exploring more of the city. Our main idea for our last day was to go into both the Louvre Museum and Musee d’Orsay.
We woke up in our big comfy bed excited to see Paris and for me especially the Eiffel Tower!! We were up, ready and out by 10-am heading towards the Louvre Museum as we wanted to head to the river. Our hotel was roughly a 20 minute walk and took us through some little streets that we would not have seen otherwise.
19th June I woke up to a wrinkly old man… No not really just Cole who today had turnt the big 22! So as a little surprise for his birthday I thought to myself why not plan a little trip for us both rather than being stuck where I live where there are limited options of what to do I planned a trip to Paris!!
After having over a month off finish university, work placements, and just generally enjoying special times in our lives we are back!! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind with lots of events taking place and unfortunately, my little hobby of blogging had to take a back seat and I admit it has taken a lot of motivation to start writing again. But here we are at the end of June (where has the time gone) and we are back with already a few adventures under our belts. I hope you have been enjoying the first of the summer sunshine and getting out there and exploring yourself!
Justine and Glenn (my family friends who live near Brighton) have the most amazing house called ‘The Beach Hut’ right on the stony beach of East Preston! So after a busy day exploring Brighton, that you would have seen in a previous blog, we were having more of a chilled day in East Preston taking the dogs for a walk along the beach and stopped at the cafe for some treats!
Now Brighton was in our top 10 places to go in the UK and I finally got to show Cole the weird and wonderful place which is Brighton!! I am lucky enough that our family friends have a gorgeous house just outside Brighton in East Preston so with a trip lined up I took the opportunity to show Cole! I knew he would love Brighton, it is very much up his alley!
Welcome back! I hope everyone has been enjoying the first few days of sun we have been having, I know Cole did when he went home at the weekend and spent the weekend adventuring with his sister, nephew and little Jessie! So take it away Cole!
